    Andy Leung – ETA-ROC
    David McMurray – JALT
    Hugh Nicoll - JALT
    Phil Owen – KOTESOL
    Stephen Ryan – FEELTA
Ubon Sanpatchaayapong – ThaiTESOL (meeting chair)
    Jim Swan – JALT
    Dennis Woolbright - JALT

1. Opening remarks, by Ubon
    - congratulations on PAC5

2. PAC5 report, by Ryan
    - 800 participants
    - proud that PAC brought together so many people, especially from North and South Korea
    - hope to see PAC traditions continued, especially Partner Panels
    - thanks to partner associations and AYF for their cooperation

3. PR announcement for ThaiTESOL¡¯s 25th conference, by Ubon
    - 20-22 January, 2005 (3 days, for the first time)
    - plenary speakers: Diane Larsen-Freeman, Tricia Hodge, Michael McCarthy

4. PAC6 planning, by Patama (structured around questions received from McMurray)
    (1) Could you please let us know if will be a 2-day or a 3-day conference?
           - 3 days
    (2) Key officers in JALT remain concerned that it will be a long time before PAC6 opens its doors in January 2007. Could you please include strategic
plans for how we can keep colleagues around the world enthused about PAC project up until its 10th anniversary?
           - ThaiTESOL needs the time to plan the conference; government money available if it is held at that time.
          - Brown: Let¡¯s hold a PAC conference every year.
          - Patama: 2 year gap is good
          - Ryan: PAC brand can be made visible by attaching it to events smaller than a full PAC conference, like FEELTA¡¯s upcoming symposium. We could hold PAC sessions at each of our conferences.
          - Owen: holding a PAC conference may be too much work to do it so often
          - Swan: concerned about the rise of AsiaTEFL
          - Leung: supports a yearly conference
          - McMurray: 2 year gap was appropriate when PAC had only 3 members. Keeping a 2 year gap now would mean 12 years between hosting opportunities.
          - Patama: January 07 is the best time for PAC6.
    (3) Could you please let us recommend or choose one of the two weekends in your suggested "late January 2007" that won't conflict with our local
events?
          - Patama: 4th weekend will probably be best, although the date for Chinese New Year has not been announced yet
    (4) Conference theme: (after some discussion): English Language Teaching: Critical Pedagogy for Asia in the Globalized Era
    (5) Could you please suggest a maximum number (ie. two, four, six) of plenary speakers that we would be able to collectively recommend?
          - 3 or 4 plenary speakers

5. FEELTA 10th Anniversary, by Ryan:
    - 2005 is FEELTA¡¯s 10th anniversary year
    - Symposium will be held in October, both by video conference and in person. FEELTA invites all PAC partners to participate.
